Preventing "table shifting"

Hi, anyone can help me with an issue ...

I have several pages, all based on the SAME layout, which contains a
centered table with text. These pages are linked to one another. A
few of them look fine, -- there is no "shifting" from page to page;
but a few have a perceptible shift or jump (the table is not in the
exact same place as the other pages) and I can't figure out why, or if
there's a way to prevent this. So far as i can see, all the tables
are centered and have the same width, etc.

Most likely has to do with the width of what is in the tables, unless you also
have a set width set for all tables. In that case, it'd be anybody's guess.
