preventing users from filling their time sheets - Possible ?

O

OK

So far we don't want our users to fill their time sheets, just see their
tasks and probably projects.

Is it possible to accomplish ?

If people can see their timesheets in PWA, the system allows them to enter
actuals. Therefore, I would recommend that you make this a training and
performance issue with your team members. Team them to look at their
timesheets, but not to enter actuals, and then hold them accountable for
this performance. When the time arrives for them to begin entering actuals
in their PWA timesheet, train them how to properly enter actuals using your
organization's methodology, and then hold them accountable for their
performance. Hope this helps.

If you are using Managed periods in MS EPM 2003, you can also just close
those periods to prevent them booking time against assignments and reopen
them when you want to allow them booking

Seems like you could just not approve any of the updates they give. It is
not as if their updates go straight to the project or anything. :)
