For the past several days, my e-mail Preview Pane has
been extremely sluggish in rendering. I'll select an e-
mail and then wait 6 to 10 seconds for the message to be
rendered in the preview window. If I turn off Preview
Pane from the View menu and simply double-click on a
message to open it, once again I have to wait 6 to 10
seconds for the message to open.
This has not always been the case; I first noticed the
problem earlier this week. I have not installed any
software or changed my system configuration recently.
My (very uneducated) attempts at correcting this problem
have included rebooting the system, deleting all e-mail
(inbox, outbox, deleted items, etc.), running Disk
Cleanup and Disk Defragmenter, running Detect & Repair
from within Outlook, installing every available update
from the Office Update site, etc.
I'm really stumped here. What's making the Preview render
so annoyingly slow all of a sudden? Any ideas or
suggestions? Thanks!
