previously shared calendar still issuing meeting accepted messages

two users had fully shared calendars and e-mail, they have now had these
links broken as that is no longer required, However meeting acceptence
messages are still being sent to the sharer, ie

mail box PETER gets acceptance messages for appointments created by mail box
PAUL, the acceptance on PETERS acceptance message says that the meeting does
not exist in PAULS Calendar, when I check this the meeting does exist.

2 questions

1. why is the acceptance message still being sent through
2. why does it say the meeting does not exist in the users calendar when it
does.

both machines are xp pro sp2, outlook 2k3 sp2, and they both have the same
problem with each other.

no other messages or information are copied/forwaded between them just
meeting acceptance messages.

any help greatfully appreciated.

When you say "links broken..." I am assuming that you mean that you
have had them BOTH remove each other from their DELEGATES tab.

If you have done this and the messages are continuing, the next step
is to have the Exchange Administrator use the Active Directory/ESM
to see if they are still in the system. The Exchange Admin can
remove them..

On the ADU&C object, select the "Exchange General" tab,
then click the "Delivery Options" button.

I will leave the other question alone, as I do not have an answer for
that but perhaps it won't be an issue if the above works. :)

Thank you Nikki, However this has not rectified the issue, I presume my next
best option is to backup the accounts to pst files and nuke them? then re
create them and pour the pst files back in?

The problem with this line of attack is that the objects you create will
be different. By that I mean, even though the same SMTP is assigned,
and the same name, etc., the appointments that others have with the
clients, will no longer recognize them and they will need to refresh the
information by reselecting them if they send updates etc.

There are other solutions, however you would fare better asking this
on the Exchange groups for clarification.
