Ok im fairly new to this so apologies if im being a bit simple
I have created a basic prf file to automate creation of a single POP3
account.
If I launch this file manually on a Machine containing Outlook 2002(XP)
the subsequent settings are configured. Upon closing outlook the
settings are retained. Which is great.
My company has recently invested in a corporate version of Symantec
ghost, one of the simpler options is to copy files and then execute
then. I have configured a task on the ghost server to copy the prf file
to the following location on all client machines
C:\ProgramFiles\Symantec\Ghost\Incoming.
The copy works fine. The next task is to execute the file thus creating
the accounts. This task also works fine. Outlook launches ok and you
can see the account from tools, e-mail accounts. However as soon as you
close outlook, all account settings are lost and the profile created
with it vanishes
Is this either an issue with the ghost console (base on my experience
with s/ware so far I believe it is) or is there a problem with the prf
file. Baring in mind it works manually.
Hope someone can help apologies if im wasting peoples time
