Primary Key Number

When importing data in the exact structure of the existing table, Access
assigns a nine digit primary key number to the files as opposed to simply
continuing the sequence of the list I have which at this point is 78. Is
there any way in which I can ask Access to continue the sequence of the
existing file primary key numbers. Any assistance would be greatly
appreciated. Thank you.

What you are trying to do should be possible.

A couple of things to check for:
The file omits the PK value intentionally.
The wizard has been told to skip the value too.

If these ideas don't help then I would import the file to a staging table
and do an Insert query from there which omits the PK from the data so it is
autogenerated.
