Primary Keys & Null Values

:confused: Hi all...

I am a fairly new user to Access 2000 so please bear with me.

I would like to know why I am getting the following message when I tr
to assign a primary key to a particular field.

"field cannot have null value"

Now, the field HAS something in it. Do I have to delete the ID ke
first?
