Print a Yearbook

My wife is designing a small yearbook for the organization she belongs
to. I am hoping to help her determine a way to print a single copy of
the yearbook that can be taken to a copier to be easily cut and
folded.

The yearbook will need to be printed on the front and back of a
landscape sheet of 8.5X11 page. When finished, cut, and folded, the
reader will view a "page" that measures 4.25x5.5. I hope that there
is some way to have WORD print the document so that if you were to
visualize the 8.5x11 page, it has 8 small pages printed on it. The
top half would have page 1 on the left and page 2 on the right. On
the reverse top would be the last two pages of the yearbook.

The bottom half of the 8.5x11 page would have pages 3 and 4 on one
side and the 3rd and 4th last pages on the reverse.

Basically I am trying to print a book where I use the front and back
of each sheet, but I want the pages to be 1/8th of a sheet and printed
in book sequence.

We have done this manually once by printing an 1/8th of the page at a
time and repositioning the page after each print. It is VERY tedious
if the yearbook is almost 50 pages long! Can anyone offer a better
alternative?
