an excel spreadsheet is formatted to fit data into a
printed form. the file is kept on a network server and
accessed by multiple HP vli8 pc's running win2k and office
xp. each pc prints to a shared lexmark optra t612 laser.
problem: print alignment varies per pc - from one pc,
data on the page is perfectly aligned. from pc #2 data is
too high on the page. from pc #3 data is too far to the
right. stopped testing after #3. doesn't matter who is
signed on to pc, same result for multiple users. the
spreadsheet is converted to pdf and prints exactly the
same on all pc's, so appears to be an excel problem. the
need to run lookup macros prevents a move to pdf.
licensing prevents a move to an ms access form.
Checked print preview on all pc's to make sure all
settings on the "page setup" window are the same.
Margins, scaling, orientation, etc. Is there some other
variable excel uses to print that's pc specific?
