Hi,
we experienced the following problem when removing SharePoint based meta
information from a Word 2007 docx document that was originally stored in a
document library.
The meta information from the document in question was removed by running
Document Inspector with the option to remove document properties and personal
information.
After this, a strange effect occured: Obviously, the print date information
in the document does not work anymore.
Print date property fields in the document keep displaying the value
"00.00.0000 00:00" (European format) and the file property in Windows
Explorer shows an empty value for the print date, no matter if or when the
document was last printed or saved as PDF. Other properties like create date
work fine.
When reverting to the original version of the document before performing the
meta data cleaning with document inspector, the print date fields and
property are okay and update in the regular way when printing or saving as
PDF.
We suspect this to be a bug in document inspector. Does anyone have an idea
on how the print date property might be fixed? Or is there an alternative way
to remove SharePoint based meta data without using document inspector?
Any suggestions are highly appreciated.
