Folks:
Office 2004
MacOS 10.3.7
I'm printing a 100 page document which includes in-line graphics to multiple
PDF files, with the restriction that no PDF file size may exceed about 1
megabyte. (Why? Email attachment size limitations.)
So I'm spending a lot of time in the File--> dialog box, entering page
ranges. If a PDF file produced is too big, I delete it (in the Finder) and
try again.
I'm not editing the document at all.
Starting with a fresh launch of Word, I can print up to maybe 5 times at
most before the print dialog rejects text entries in the Page Range field --
in fact, in all fields. The dialog is still "live" -- I can change the
radio buttons and print. But I can't enter text.
If I quit and restart Word, I can enter text -- for maybe a couple of times
through the print dialog, maybe just once, then the problem reoccurs.
Not that this should matter, but the text I'm entering is "generic" -- no
special characters.
My system seems otherwise healthy.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Henry
