Print Footers on forced blank pages

A

Alan Humpherys

I am using Word XP (On Windows XP)

I have a document with multiple sections (and different footers in
each). Each section break is an "odd page" break, meaning that it
forces the starting page number for the new section to be odd, so that
in my case, each chapter starts on the left side of the book.

The problem is that some sections (which would normally start on an
even page) force a blank page to be added - but only when printing.

That is the desired behavior --- Almost ---

I would like the defined even-page footer (for the previous section) to
be printed on that otherwise blank page, so that there is a page number
on it. Is there a way to do this, or am I out of luck?

All I can come up with is to insert manual page breaks in the document
myself so that each section has an even number of pages. (But that has
the downside of forcing me to do the pagination myself....)

Ideas anyone?
