print grid from drawing toolbar

Nancy

Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)

I've created a document using the Grid in the Drawing toolbar. When I print it, the grid is invisible -- doesn't print out. Does anyone know how to make it show up in the printout? Thanks.

Sorry, Nancy, the gridlines are merely an on-screen guide. They are not
designed to be printed & there is no option to do so.

I wondered the same and... my way around it is:
1. Open a blank Word document.
2. Select Show Gridlines from Drawing Toolbar and adjust to the size you need.
3. Use Picture Capture (Shift+Apple+4).
4. Paste Picture on to another new blank document and save as a Template.
5. Open and use as required - when you print it will include the gridlines!

That will certainly work but there are already Graph Paper templates
available for Excel which might be even easier to deal with :)

Could you point me in the right direction then because I have searched but haven't managed to find any!

It depends on your version of Office - which you have yet to mention :)

Go to File> Project Gallery> New & you'll find Graph Paper located:

Office 2004: In the Students-Teachers Group

Office 2008: In the Home Essentials Group

Excellent. Many thanks (Its amazing what is lurking under one's nose - guess I didn't look hard enough in my Office 2004 menus)
