Print - Line Prefix on Previous Messages Overlays Message

I have options set to print a vertical line in front of previous messages
within my email. My messages are indented and the vertical line is fine up
until about the fourth indentation. The fourth line covers the start of the
characters in the indented email. The fourth, fifth, and sixth lines look to
be about the same as far as where they print in relation to the first
character of the indented message. The seventh, eighth, and ninth lines
print between the first and second character of each indented line. I
assumed that the text would be indented enough on each level so that the line
would be in front of the text, but apparently not. Any ideas on how to make
the text indent more so that the lines don't cover it?
