print locks up pc

Printing a calendar out of outlook, office xp, sp3, have downloaded all
latest patches. on a win xp box with sp2 fully patched. Print preview looks
beautiful, but when you hit print the screen goes white and the box locks up.
It doesn't matter what default printer you use or what user is logged in.
happens to admins as well as general users. we have already
uninstalled/reinstalled.
word/excel all print fine. She can even print emails, just not calendars.

Any ideas?

We figured out that the user had a printer setup to a defunct print server
in her setup. It wasn't even her default printer, it was just in her printer
list. When we removed that printer she could again print calendars.
