Hi,

When I print a document (double sided) that has an odd number of pages
and I want to print more than one copy, the first page of the second
copy is printed on the *back* of the last page of the previous copy.

I checked with HP (it's an HP LaserJet 2200), and they claim this is due
to the fact that Word sends multiple copies as *one* print job, so the
printer cannot decide when to do a form feed.

Is there any way to have Word insert a form feed automatically after
each copy? I know I can append an empty page if I have an odd number of
pages, but this is PITA, because sometimes I print 4 or even more
(resized) pages on one sheet, so I'd have to insert 1, 2 or 3 pages,
depending on how many pages I have.

Thanks, Berend

Have you tried looking at the 'PRINT' options in the print dialogue box?
There you can select ODD or EVEN pages to print.

Uh, maybe I wasn't entirely clear... It's not that I want to print
*either* odd or even pages. Let me try to explain:
Suppose I have a 3 page document, and I print it double sided, this
takes two sheets. Fine. Now, I want to print two copies of this
document, so I enter "Number of copies: 2" in the print dialog. But now
the first page of the 2nd copy is printed on the backside of the 1st
copy. Instead, the printer should eject the second sheet after it has
printed the first copy, and *then* start printing the second one.

A work-around would be to press the print button once for each copy, but
this becomes a nuisance when printing, say, 50 copies.
