{PRINT \p pic} field crashes Word

I'm trying to use a PRINT field to capture the rectangle for the next
picture in the paragraph, but Word crashes when I print.

How are you supposed to use this parameter? I'm aware of the documentation
at http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/assistance/HP051861821033.aspx but it
doesn't say much about "\p pic" other than that it applies to the next
picture in the paragraph. What constitutes a picture - a bitmap image only?

If no picture appears later in the same paragraph as the PRINT field, Word
does not crash; but if a picture is present, Word will crash. Of course, you
have to print to a PostScript printer driver. I've tried both the Adobe PDF
driver as well as an HP LaserJet 2300.

Hi Jack,

The PRINT field isn't really used much, anymore. Hasn't been updated, as far as
I know, for some 10 years...

Your best chance to get any feedback on this would probably be the
word.printingfonts newsgroup.
