Print preview appears as a PDF

Processor: Intel

I just updated to 2008 and installed the Adobe suite of software which included Acrobat Pro among others. Now when I choose print preview from the print dialogue box within Excel it launches Acrobat and displays the spreadsheet as a pdf. That isn't the problem. The problem is that Acrobat isn't honoring any of my page breaks within the spreadsheet and prints everything as a continuous page that only breaks for the margin at the bottom.

I know that my page breaks exist in the spreadsheet because I can see them in the page layout view.

I've tried to re-insert the page breaks when looking at the print preview within Acrobat but there is apparently no way to manually adjust.

Anyone have any ideas?

When you go to Print Preview, Excel hands off a "print job" formatted for
the default printer, with an instruction to the system to send it back to
the screen instead of putting on the wire to the printer.

I suspect Adobe has selected itself as the "Default Printer" for your
system.

To preview your document like it would look going to your printer, you first
need to select your printer as the printer to be used for that spreadsheet,
in File>Print.

Once you have done that, you should see the result coming back from your
printer's driver, rather than Adobe's PDF driver.

Hope this helps
