Print Preview doesn't show red asterisks indicating required field

Is there any way to show the red asterisks in print preview? I need to be
able to provide required fields to managers in an email (w/o Infopath
available), but can't get the asterisks to show...

Any ideas?

Bob,

Here is how I got mine.

1. Right click on the text box and choose text box properties.
2. Select "Data Validation"
3. Click "Add"
4. Under "If this condition is true" (For Example, my field is called
"Employee Name") in the first drop down I select "Employee Name")
select your text box field
5. In the second drop down select "is blank" (this will gray out the
3rd drop down)
6. Choose either "Inline Alert" or "Dialog Box" and type in the error
you want to pop up when that field is left blank.
7. Click "OK"

Then "preview" your form and you should see a red asterisks.

Hope this helps,

Justine,

When I PRINT the form, the validation indicators don't print... Yes, the do
display on the form during edit time, but I want to display them on a
printout.
