Print preview error--shows document in two different configurations

When I bring a certain word document up and look at its
print preview, sometimes the columns are right, and
sometimes the first column's text overflows into the
second column--if I push page down and then page up, it
displays correctly, if I push page down and then page up
a second time, it displays incorrectly--100% of the time,
entirely predictably and reproduceably in Word 2003 (for
XP).
In Word 2000 and the version of Word on the university
Macs, there is no problem with it.

Word is very demanding of the graphics driver and this sounds more like a
graphics driver problem. Check in the Internet support site for the graphics
card vendor and see if they have a newer driver.
