Print preview locks up, but Report view works (2007)

Has anyone seen this behavior before? and do you know how to resolve it?

I've got a report that I just modified and moved from Portrait to Landscape.
After refomatting the page and moving controls around, I have run into a
problem. When I try to render the report using the Report View, it works
fine, but when I try to render the report using Print Preview, it locks up.

What I mean by this is that I get a "Formatting page" message along the
bottom of the screen, and the progress bar continues to display a green bar
with varying levels of completeness. When I press Ctrl-Break, the preview
closes, and I'm back in design view, but I cannot get the report to render
properly.

After removing all of the subforms, it continues churn, but never actually
renders the page. One note of interest is that the query that the report is
based upon runs almost instantaneously. But when I try to preview this
particular report, the CPU maxes out, then drops back to about 3% when I
cancel the report.

I ended up just recreating the form from scratch. Used the same query as
the data source, and the same sub-forms, but it works great now. Must have
been something wrong with that report. Interesting though, since all I did
was copy another report, which is still working, and reformat it.
