I have a database with multi users which works great - for the most part.
I'm having trouble when it comes to a user viewing a report (print preview)
on their desktop. When the report is left open or minimized it locks the
database. In order for another user to add data, we have to walk the office
asking whoever left the report open to close it before new data can be
entered. The query does not have "record locks" on.
My thoughts are to "time-out" the report? Can this be done, or can I set the
database to allow data to be entered when the report is open?
