running excel X iMac 768 ram 800MH OSX version 10.2.8 When I try to
print a page in a workbook I go to "print preview", click "setup", click
"fit to one page", click "ok" and get a "not enough memory" error
message, I click OK and excel quits. Any suggestions??

Try repairing permissions by running Disk Utility in the
Applications:Utility folder. Also see if the print driver for the
printer you have selected is up to date.

did as you suggested, same result. The workbook has multiple pages
and most all of them print fine, it is just several pages where I get the
error.

First - make sure you've updated Office to 10.1.5, using the
updaters found here:

Mactopia Downloads:

It's possible that the workbook is corrupted. I assume by "pages"
you mean worksheets. If that's the case, try copying those
worksheets to to a new workbook (select the sheet, copy only the
used cells, then open a new worbook and paste). Do they print then?

I finally figured out why:

The spread sheet has many worksheets - In several worksheets the
results carry over to a "master worksheet" and on this worksheet
figures are combined and a percentage is calculated. As I wanted a
running total of the percentage on all worksheets I went to the master
and copied the cell with the precentage, went to the sheets where I
wanted the "running total" and held down the shift key then chose
Edit,Paste Picture Link, thus whenever I change figures this link is
updated.

The sheets that had this were the ones giving me trouble, thus I cut the
link out and everything works fine.

Now if only excel x was not so slow I would be happy

thanks for your help, you made me think
