print problem - multiple copies

using Word 2003 on WinXP.

a 27-page document. prints one copy fine. when 2 or more copies are
requested, all of the "page 1" copies print, then all of the "page 2"
copies, etc. i've never run across this problem before, usually multiple
copies of a multi-page document print "collated". i don't know if the
problem is with Word or with the printer, but other software is printing
okay (Excel, etc).

any suggestions appreciated - or reference to a previous post that answers
the question (i didn't find anything in searching GoogleGroups, but...).

What command do you use to Print? "CTRL + P" or clicking on the printer
icon? Use "CTRL + P" and I bet you'll see the "collate" box unchecked.

hey, Bernie, i'm not at work to check it out right now, but i'll bet you're
right - and, boy, do i feel like a dummy! i'll post back if it turns out
that's not the problem; but in the meantime, thanks! :)

well, turns out that when the Collated box is checked in the Print dialog,
multiple copies are *still* printing un-collated. any other ideas, anyone?
