print problem - not using whole page

Working on a project that's bouncing back and forward between editors
on both Mac and Windows

Document now on my computer does not print properly - it seems to
occupy only about two thirds of the page instead of the whole page

Same happens if I print as pdf.

Any thoughts?

I did a forum search but drew a blank - maybe I used the wrong search
terms?

A fellow user emailed the solution:

Take a look and see whether you have Tools > Track Changes > Highlight
Changes and then "Highlight changes on screen" or "Highlight changes
on printed document" turned on. If so, when you print the result will
be reduced to about 2/3 the page to allow room for the comments and
changes, even if there are none.

That was exactly the problem. Thanks for your insight.

That's NOT the solution :)

The solution is the check-box in Options that says "Use balloons". Turn the
balloons off, and the problem goes away.

If you turn off the display of tracked changes, you cannot see where they
are: the inevitable result of that is a corrupted document that cannot be
opened at all, on either platform.

Cheers
