Print screen/dump

Hi Community people

Something odd has started happening with Word 2007. I tried to paste a
screen dump of something on my monitor into a Word document and all I got
was a pdf icon nothing else. The only things I can paste to and get the
screen dump is a mail message or Paint.

Any ideas what's going on?

Does copy and paste work properly in Word if Word is open *before* you
copy? If yes, then see http://support.microsoft.com/kb/555173 "WD: The

Recently, I noticed that doing a screen print becomes a pdf icon when pasted into Word 2000 or Excel 2000. Since I've had this version for a long time, I can only assume that the change came with one of Microsoft's patches either to Windows XP or to Office 2000. Possibly, other products since this one references Word 2007.

I have found that pasting a 2nd time,usually does the trick.

I could not find anything on the internet about this either other than this thread.
