Print screen in XP

I am trying to print screen (using Alt + Print Screen)the
Ctrl+Alt+Dlt graphic that appears when you turn on
Windows XP. It does not hold in clipboard memory when
continuing to log in.

My colour palette is greater than 16 colours by default
and in paint the draw opaque is on. I have tried using
both options.

I am trying to document how to log on as we have just
gone to Windows XP.

Can anyone help, I would be grateful.
