Print Scrn inoperable in Word 2000

When attempting to do a screen capture to Word by using Print Scrn to load
the clipboard, the Paste action into Word 2000 just presents an image box
without any image.

If the same process is used in Wordpad it is successful.

Any ideas?

In Word, click on Tools | Options | View | check the "Drawings" box and
uncheck the "Picture placeholders" box | OK.
