Print sequence numbers in Access

B

Beth Kiggins

I am trying to print a sequence number (based on the way
the records sort) on a label using Access. I thought COUNT
might do it, but it only displays the number of records in
each row. Does anyone have a creative way of doing this.
Basically, I just want to print (on the label) the sequence
number for each name after I sort them alphabetically.

THANKS

Put a textbox on the label report, unbound. Set its Control Source to

=1

(just the number 1), and its RunningSum property to TRUE.
