print settings does not save

The default printer is the reciepts printer and has a narrower border than
the regular HP printer. When switching to the HP printer the print out
prints the same as for the receipts printe ( narrow and centered). However
if you go into the settings and change a few things the print to the HP
prints fine. Once you close Outlook and reopen and go back into the print
settings the settings has defaulted back to the ones for the register
printer. What gives?
