Print Setup Problems

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel

Page Setup settings are not "sticking", as written and confirmed in the thread:
<http://www.officeformac.com/ProductForums/Excel/1515/0>

More than seven months have passed with at least three substantial updated and the bug hasn't been fixed - WHEN IS THIS BUG GOING TO BE FIXED?

In a 23-page workbook and with one sheet using Letter sized paper, this bug is more than a PITA to deal with - booting into Windows to open, set up, save, and print for a client is a PITA.

The application is updated, working in a Standard User account or Administrator account - nothing works.

No reply - the bug still exists. Nothing works - in Office 2008 (Mac) XLSX-formatted files...

I pose a workaround - saving the exact same file in Compatibility Mode (97-2004) in and using Excel 2008 allowed saving of print presets: Gridlines, specific/any printer, layout, paper size - 12 different settings for worksheets within one workbook (even different printer setups).

I save the same file I just griped about, changing and selecting every option of the file (once saved as an XLS file!) - and they all "stuck" several times. I'm done with XLSX files until this bug is stomped.
