Print to the edge of the paper

I'm using Powerpoint 2007 to make greeting cards, and generally it works
really well. However, I'm having problems getting it to print all the way
out to the edge of the paper. I can do that at the top of a page, but on the
bottom it always seems to leave about a 1" margin.

Any ideas? I've tried this on different printers with similar results. I
also had this same problem when I was using Powerpoint 2003.

Thanks, Steve, that helps. Do you think "scale to fit paper" is the same as
"Fit To Page"? Also, I noticed that my printer can print the top of the page
closer to the top than the bottom of the page, so I've turned my content
upside-down and it's better.

While there are web sites to determine this, the easiest way I have ever
found to find the maximum print are of a printer is to create a Word
document for my page size (8.5 X 11 inches etc.). Draw a box from one edge
to the other and put in a color or shade of gray or black. Make the margins
on all four sides as 0 and 0 for header and footer. I save this document
and then click File, Print and select my printer. I ensure I have the
printer set up to expand to the full page size or print without enlargement
or shrinking if those are options in the driver. Ignore any messages from
Word about the print area outside margins or capability of printer. Print
and any white space can't be printed on.
