printer/install program

Steve

I bought a new printer yesterday--HP 4110. My computer is
old--a Dell laptop with 64 RAM. I can't seem to connect
them to each other, and HP tried for 90 mins to help.
Finally, they suggested downloading a new "Installer"
update from MSFT. I can't seem to find that....and, will
it help? HP said I did have enough memory (at 64 and 77%
free), but just barely.

Hi Steve,

You may want to post this in a newsgroup for the
version of Windows that you are using via
news://msnews.microsoft.com

The MS Installer (MSI) has different editions for
each version of Windows. You can locate them
through http://microsoft.com/downloads
The 'help' in this case would be if the present
MS Installer was corrupted or if you have an HP
driver that for some reason wanted a newer copy
of MSI.
