Printer list has disappeared in Word X

I am running Office X on Panther. All of a sudden Word has stopped
printing. When I open the print dialogue box there are no printers in the
printer list. Exel, and other apps are printing fine (with healthy printer lists).
A friend of mine has had exactly the same problem at the same time. I've
tried clearing caches, prefs, even reinstalling Word, then Office X altogether
but to no avail! I have a sneaking suspicion it was after opening a read only
document which was sent to me.

Please...does anyone have any ideas, or similar experiences!

The problem was that I was running Little Snitch which was denying
connections to Word - Thanks to Frédéric Léglise for spotting it.
