We’ve recently upgraded to Office 2007 and some users are experiencing
problems printing in Excel 2007.
After some investigation, we found something odd.
Excel documents that took a few hundred KB of printer memory to print in
Excel XP, once converted in.xlsx (or opened in compatibility mode) are now
using up to 5-6 MB.
This can add up pretty fast and older printers are having trouble to keep up.
We tried with different printer models and even if the amount of memory used
differs from printer to printer, it’s always way more than what is needed in
Excel XP.
Any idea of what might be causing this?
Test file:
Size: 84.9 KB
Content: 220 cells of data and two graphs
Thanks in advance!
