printer problem

I can't figure out why I'm not able to print. I own an HP
Pavillion Pc which came with a printer alrady.however I
prefer to use my old pc (HPofficejetpro1700 cse), which
is already in the control panel - what are the steps or
how can make this work?

Did you download and install the correct drivers from the HP website for
this printer and install them BEFORE you connected the printer to the PC as
per the website instructions?
