printer problem...

When trying to print the users are getting an error that
MS Jet cannot find object HP LASERJET 5000 PCL 5E. After
testing it, I figured out that the printer does not like
any access database and I cannot even preview the report
when this printer is the default. The odd thing is that
the other Microsoft products - Word and Excel both work
fine with this printer. Also, they have no trouble with
this application going to any other printer. Is there
anything special about Access that should be in the
printer configuration? Please help - the users are not
happy.

thanks,
Sue

I would make sure in the design view of the report you DID NOT set it to a
specify printer. I would check that out. While viewing a report in design
view, you can go file->page setup. Make sure you are NOT using a specific
printer in the report setup.

I had it set for the default. This printer did not work
for any report in any database. The hardware guy
downloaded and installed a different print driver and now
it works. Thanks for taking the time to help!
