Printer Properties error

F

F6Hawk

When I try to open printer properties from the print dialog, I get the
following error: Function address 0x4f4c49f9 caused a protection fault.
(exception code 0xc0000005) Some or all property page(s) may not be
displayed.

The printer is shared from another computer on our domain, and I have admin
rights on both. From the printer & faxes window, I can see printer
properties just fine, it seems only to be thru Office products the problem is
caused (Excel has the same issue with a different error number).

Thank you in advance for any ideas.

Hi =?Utf-8?B?RjZIYXdr?=,

My guess would be a problem with the printer driver, but it would probably be
best to discuss this with experts in the word.printing.fonts newsgroup.

remove all printers(you`re logged as user)
login as admin
open printers folder
remove all printers
next right click--server properties--drivers
at this moment you have to remove all printer drivers( if you can
remove any drivers, just reboot machine and come back to step 5
beacuse the file(driver) could be in use, and after reboot try again)
open folder c:\winnt\system32\spool\drivers\w32x86
remove all from c:\winnt\system32\spool\drivers\w32x86 (if you canno

install local printer
at the printer properties in the security tab , remove all, and ad
users with option print( do not touch option owner creator, beacuse h
