printer settings change when reports copied or compiled in access

just cropped up in last few months, when I copy a db to another computer, or
package for distribution, the default 8 1/2 X 11 paper settings appear on my
4X2 label reports. Printer set up on other computers correct, and this did
not used to happen.

have to get into design mode on other machines and reset paper type and
margins

If you are using Access 2000 get your users to apply
service packs. Losing page setup with name autocorrect
switched on is a documented and fixed bug. You can switch
off name autocorrect as a temporary workaround.

Terry, thanks for the tip -- we're in XP, but the 2000 info may put me on
track -- service packs up to date, but I'll check--seems that the bugs in the
sp's (keep a table open so access can find the server?) cause most of my
problems
