Hello,
In my organization, everyone uses a secure print code when printing. This
is set up in the print driver (so it's the default), not on a per-print
basis. This usually works fine, except in Excel when a different person
opens a file and prints it. The file will end up at the printer in the
original author's printer account, and can only be released (printed) by the
original author, not the person who actually printed it.
Example: Person creates a timesheet in Excel, prints it and saves it.
Person then sends the file to his/her Boss. Boss opens the file, and prints
it for their own record, but when Boss goes to the printer to release the
job, it doesn't show up. Instead, file is under Person's account on the
printer.
Has anyone run into this before? If so, was there a way to fix it. I've
looked at meta-data stripping tools, but they don't touch the printer
settings. I've also scoured the KB, but can't seem to find anything even
remotely helpful.
Thanks for any information you can provide.
