I have a golf database with a report that creates a scorecard and I
want to get 2 scorecards on a page so that I can cut the scorecard
(card stock) in half and have 2 equally symmetrical scorecards. So the
trick is to define the scorecard report so that 2 reports print on a
8.5x11 page. I've done this but can't quite get the 2 scorecards to
print symmetrically on a page.
For the sake of discussion, tThink of a report/scorecard as:
2
scores
4
where 2 is 2 lines of whitespace and 4 is 4 lines of whitespace and
'scores' is the actual scorecard. When I print this report, it comes
out as:
2
scores
4
2
scores
4
on a page but folding the 8.5x11 page in two doesn't fold perfectly in
the middle - the second scorecard prints a little too high on the page.
So I've played with the report to add whitespace to the end of a
scorecard so it looks like:
2
scores
6
Unfortunately, when I get the right amount of whitespace inserted at
the end of the scorecard, Access then thinks 2 scorecards are too long
for a single page and prints only a single scorecard per page.
Either I need some way to tell Access to pretend the page length is a
little longer than it really is or I need some better way of finagling
the whitespace between the 2 scorecards. Any ideas or suggestions?
