Printing a 3 1/2" by 5 1/2" blank postcard?

How do I go about setting this up??

Just bought 50 blank pre postmarked postcards at the postoffice, and
want to print on them. Any suggestions on how I can do this? Do I
need to make a new document in word, with margins specified in the
topic?

Sounds reasonable to me - use File|Page Setup to set the page size and
orientation. You may need to use a Custom paper size if there is no
3.5x5.5in size for your printer. Also, you will need to experiment to make
sure your printer gets it right (e.g. I have a lot of trouble with some
printers using A5 paper sizes), perhaps using regular paper or cutting it to
size rather than wasting your prepostmarked cards.

Then I would probably set up the margins to match any areas that the printer
cannot print on and use (say) empty text boxes with no surrounding lines to
"mask off" any areas I didn't want to print over.
