Printing a Custom sized document

I am trying to print a document that is business card
sized. When I do, I get a message "The margins in section
1 are set outside the printable area." How do I fix this
so that I may print? Any person that answers me quickly,
would be my HERO!!!

Will your printer handle this size paper? Or are you trying to print a 2" x
3.5" area in the center of a Letter-size sheet? If so, you should be able to
adjust the margins to accommodate this; Word doesn't balk when I set margins
of 4.5" top and bottom and 2.5" left and right. If this doesn't work,
though, you could draw a text box the required size and work in that.

You can always choose the 'Ignore' option and print anyway. This is a
function of the interplay between Word and your printer. The printer driver
tells Word what minimum margins it can print to, and Word crops the printed
image to those margins.

1. This is adjustable for some printers. Check the printer options.

2. Set your document so that the printed area is within the acceptable
limits for the printer. Presumably you're not trying to print onto business
card sized paper (No ordinary printer can handle media that small.) Set your
margins to the parts of the page you intend to cut off.
