Printing a long Contract with a Macro

S

SQL Brad

I previously posted about printing a contract that is about 4 pages long, and
putting the records of databases in.....since I can't do that, is it possible
to use a macro to print a report in access (yes I know this can be done) but
after that, it (the macro) would tell a word document to print (this could
actually be the legal portion of the contract) and then print a 2nd report
out of access.?

thanks

Duane,

Do you know how to make a word document print as part of a command during an
access macro?

I did look and the second result led me to a web-site to purchase a $59
software program.....is this what you meant? Otherwise is there a way to do
this without buying anything? If you can be more specific, I would be most
grateful.

You can extend you detail section by creating additional grouping levels on a
unique field in your sorting and grouping. Each section can be nearly 3 pages
long.

Automation with Word allows you to control your Word document from within
Access and send values from a query to a position in the document.

Duane,

Thanks, how would I do this if I only have a single record in my database?
The purpose of this db is to print out a contract for a leasholder and then
have them sign it, the original goes into a physical file and that's all we
need it for. I will try some things out....but thanks for your suggestion

"single record in my database", a database contains tables, queries, forms,
reports, code,... Tables contain records. If you only have a single record in
your table then you can just add more grouping and sorting levels. These can
be used as "extensions" of the detail section.
