Printing a newsletter

What is the best way to print a newsletter? size of paper, etc. I am trying
to use a Business newsletter: 6pg, 2 col., mailer. However, I am not sure how
to print this and bind this for mailing? We currently use a 4 page, and put
it on 11 by 17" front and back then fold it and mail it. Any suggestions?

I guess the next best question is how? I have tried to do that in publisher.
I can not get the newsletter to print the first and last page on one page
then the two middle pages on the other side. When I change the settings, it
prints 1 page per paper. What am I doing wrong?

The "best" way is to do what works for you. I have used 11 x 17 sheets with
an insert page if it was an odd number of pages.

Features might have been added to more recent Office versions to make
the process easier. In earlier versions it was necessary to set up wide
margins on left and right pages and put the pages through the printer as
many as four times, twice for each side of the paper. For eight page
document you would need to print pages 1 and 3, return to supply tray to
print pages 5 and 7, put back in printer to print 2 and 4, then back
again to print 6 and 8. When and where to flip the pages depends on the
printer's page handling, as some printers flip the pages during the
printing process. Sometimes the printer's page handling necessitates
printing some pages in reverse order. Yes it's complicated to the point
you might want to only print one copy from the application and use some
sort of photocopy process to produce the remainder.

The best way in Publisher is to create the eight page newsletter, leave pages 3
& 4 or 5 & 6 blank. When the print is finished, cut the blank page away.
