Printing a page range does nothing

I have a 26 page (Word 2003) document made up of 4 sections
where section 1 has 12 pages and the other sections have between
2 and 7 pages. Each section has its own footor which includes a
page number, starting at 1 for each section.

I want to print pages 19 to 24 inclusive, which are pages 2 to 7
of section 3. In the Print dialogue I enter a print range of 19-24
but when I print nothing happens, nothing is sent to the print.
Same thing when I try 19,20,21, etc. I then selected the pages
19-24 and asked it to print the selection - no joy. So, I can only
print the whole document or the current page. We have tried this
on several PCs all with Word 2003.

Is this a known problem or could it be something wrong with the
this document.

Just a wild guess. Trying printing pages "3:2-7" and see if that works.

That's because there are no pages with the [simple] page numbers
19 through 24. Try this page range instead :

p2s3-p7s3

Try using p2s3-p7s3 (page 2, section 3 to page 7, section 3) in the
print dialogue.
