Printing anomaly B&W vs Color

N. Colman

When I print my slides on a 600 dpi B&W laser printer a
thin squiggle line appears just to the side of a master
page graphic. When I print the same slides on a 600 dpi
color laser printer the line doesn't appear. I can't see
the line on the master slide at even the highest % view.
I thought it might be a ghost outline of the graphic but it
doesn't follow the edge of the graphic.

The anomaly holds for other users and multiple B&W and
Color printers.

Any ideas?

Does the graphic use transparency? It sounds like there may be a very
slight difference between the background color and the transparency color at
that point. Some printer drivers/printers will emphasize this more than
others.

Hi "N.",

Did you try "View - Grayscale"? Do you see this line then? If so, try right
clicking on the object and play with the grayscale settings you'll find in
the context menu.. This will affect you B & W printing only, leaving the
color printing unaffected.

Kind regards,
Ute
