Printing backgrounds and header graphics

Marko

I have set a solid background colour (designed to be the front page of a
brochure), and all looks ok on the screen UNTIL I print preview. This leaves
a white border around the page. I've looked at all the settings, but can't
seem to find a solution. How can I ensure no border is present when printing.

I have a similar problem with a solid colour fill box, placed in the header.
All appears ok until I print preview. The nasty border appears once more!

Any help appreciated!
Thanks,
Marko

Desktop printers almost universally have an irreducible nonprintable area
required for paper handling. Even printers that boast "borderless" printing
may require a specific setting in the printer Properties to make this work,
or they may offer it only for certain paper sizes (say 8" x 10" or less) or
need a special paper carrier. Absent these options, the only way to print
"full bleed" is to print to oversized paper and trim, which is what
commercial printers do.
