Printing Book-Fold Docs

I have a 44 page doc that is setup as a book-fold format.
When I try to print it, it does fine until a fiew pages in
then it goes all screwy and prints the wrong pages side by
side -- after a few more pages it corrects itself and
finishes okay. I assume there is something I am missing
about book-fold docs. Any ideas?

No, you're not missing anything. The feature is flakey at best, which is
why, after minimal experimentation, I went back to my tried-and-true method:
