Printing borders and shading in Word 2003

Word 2003 w/HP4000N printer sometimes prints shading and borders, sometimes
not (blank). The sta tions are all set the same (Deep Freeze). Any
suggestions? They add borders to: headings or the page and shade: titles or
headings in tables.
